When you’re looking for a comfortable, stable and safe lifting system, a well-designed rail system is one of the key considerations. Design, layout and installation of the rail system is crucial in producing a patient lift system that operates optimally to lift and move users.
The GH rails can be mounted on the ceiling, on walls or on supporting pillars or any combination of these. The unsupported span can be as much as 8 metres, depending on the combination of rail types specified and which weights the system must be capable of bearing.
Combi-lock, switch track, bends and turntable units make it even easier to configure the rail systems for any particular needs or any specific building, either within one room or as combination systems.

There are three different types of GH3 rails: A, B and C each specially designed to tackle particular spans and lifting weights. Combining these appropriately makes installation an easy, rapid process.
The rails can be mounted on the ceiling, on walls or on supporting pillars - or any combination of these. The unsupported span can be as much as eight metres, depending on the combination of rail types specified and which weights the system must be capable of bearing.
It is possible to build in the rails in rooms with suspended ceilings, so that only the lower side of the rail is visible, both in connection with single track and room-covering systems.
If the rails are mounted on the ceiling itself, they can be made to blend discreetly into the surroundings by use of colour or decoration.
A-rails are normally used in single track systems, as curves (30˚, 45˚, 60˚, 90˚), switch tracks and turntables are the same height as the A-rail.

Discreet and easy to use and install in both new and existing buildings
The wall mounted rail system is a discreet system that creates a safe, comfortable and efficient solution for lifting and transferring of persons with loss of function.
With an “over the wall rail system” you have complete coverage and effective direct transfer from room to room, e.g. from bedroom to bathroom. When not in use the system is almost invisible, as the lifting module, lifting hanger and sling can be stored in the cupboard. The lifting module can be reached from both rooms as the cupboard can be opened from both sides of the wall.
The wall rails can be installed directly on all kinds of walls and the flexible traverse rail will automatically compensate for non-aligned (oblique) walls with up to 80 mm.
The wall rail is prepared for optional installation of LED light and can be used to mount a variety of things easily and discreetly such as paintings, decorations or curtains.

One System – a host of opportunities
The Positioning lock adds yet another option to the Guldmann GH3 ceiling hoist system for moving, treating, mobilising and rehabilitating people. Using the Positioning lock, it is possible to secure the lifting module and/or the traverse rail in a given position in the full-coverage rail system.
The Guldmann Positioning lock actually consists of three small locks: one for the ceiling hoist in the traverse rail and two for the parallel rails – i.e. one on each rail. A single version of the positioning lock is also available, comprising just one lock to secure the lifting motor in a single rail system.
Activating the locks on the parallel rails makes it possible to lock the sideways movement of the traverse rail, resulting in the traverse rail functioning as a fixed single rail. The lifting module can still be moved forwards along the traverse rail, making it easier to use the system for gait training, for instance. If the lock linked to the lifting module is activated, the traverse rail can be moved without the lifting module shifting sideways. Activating all three locks secures the lifting module in a given position, which is helpful when the user is carrying out retraining exercises in bed, for example.
Securing the lifting module in this way allows it to be used for the rehabilitation and retraining of both bed-bound and more mobile users.
A complete training pack comprising a range of training equipment is available as a supplement to the Positioning lock.
